How To Fix Your MXQ Android TV Box

Sometimes, you may find that your MXQ Android TV box is not turning on. Moreover, users who are well acquainted with Android devices know that devices often become loaded with many files, which ultimately makes the devices run slowly. This can lead to video buffering or freezing. There are a couple of ways we can deal with these problems:

Method #1. Soft Reset MXQ TV Box

Try a soft reset by pressing the power button for at least 15 seconds. A soft reset is one of the easiest ways you can boost your Android device. A soft reset implies turning off your device and restarting it. This will shut down all tabs on your device and let you start off again with a clean slate. Soft resetting always refreshes your device by clearing all running applications, which frees up the random access memory or RAM.

Method#2. Remove MXQ TV Box Batteries

If soft resetting fails to do the trick, take out the batteries of the TV box. As with many Android devices, sometimes taking out the battery is all it takes to get the device to turn on again. Simply take out the battery for a couple of seconds, place them back into their slots and press the power button.

Method #3. Check All Cables & Plugs

If none of the above-mentioned methods work, check your power source. A loose socket or plug could have been the issue all along. A great many electrical problems around the house can be traced to different versions of the same essential problem: wire connections that are made improperly or that have loosened over time. Wires are under a constant cycle of heating and cooling, expansion and contraction every time a switch is used or appliances are plugged in. The natural result of all this usage is that wire connections can loosen over time.

Method #4. Check Your Internet Connection

You may notice sometimes that your video is buffering or the images are extremely pixelated. These issues can be attributed to a poor internet connection. Buffering occurs when your internet connection cannot process the data to your Android TV box. You can even take the Internet Speed Test to ensure that you have good internet connectivity.

  1. Hi Anshul, my MXQ pro suddenly stopped accessing Cinema, Netflix, Youtube and cannot stream LiveNetTV even if its connected to my internet. This came when the unit updated with My Family Cinema and TVE, which are both selling subscriptions, which I am not interested with. How do I revert this to the previous version? Hope you can help me.
